Roll Call
There has been very little activity on here lately and I thought it might be good to see who is still around.

Under the shade of the Average Tree, where they hand out mediocrity, I saw you with "Alchemy" under your arm, standing in the middle of a long queue.

Re: Roll Call
Boundah's point is well made, we have been rather quiet of late, I suspect being ground into the dust of post pandemic malaise, the Ukraine conflict, and not a single UK politician being worth a toss being the causative factor here.
However, the question remains - where IS Mr. Depressed ? - I do hope he's OK.

I don't know what it is but my favourite classic car forum has also gone quiet. I can't help thinking that it is all to do with the War in Ukraine. It is as if the stuffing has been knocked out of everyone. Putin has ruined so many lives and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

Two days late, but present.
Tolerance is a set allowance that ensures a good fit and smooth running. Any more tolerance and things get sloppy or don't work at all.

Never been a prolific poster, but present and, almost, correct, sir.

I am still above ground, not dead yet I am happy to say. This time of year, my beloved garden takes up most of my time. When the sun is shining there is not too much to grump about. I hope you are all well, enjoy the summer.

Re: Roll Call
I am around but since the Memsahib has gone into a car home I have had to spend a lot more time on housekeeping. I Have learned how to use a washing machine and vacuum cleaner and do the washing up.

Re: Roll Call
If I found myself in that very sad situation I would need to employ a cook/house keeper. I have never needed to look after myself or even made the effort... which is remiss of me.

Re: Roll Call
You have my sympathy as I have been through something similar. My wife of 45 years/mother to our daughter/my best friend died last year after 3 years of alternating between hospital, care homes, and our own home. However despite being disabled I am adept at domesticy things and am a pretty good cook (albeit one-handed) but there is still a void that will remain unfilled.
